MARIO ROIG VILA

Born in Albaida (Valencia) on June 26, 1972, he is a professor specializing in trombone and composition, he has a diploma in band conducting from The Associated Board Of The Royal School Of Music.

He began his musical studies at the Unión Musical de Albaida "LAranya" with percussion and began with the trombone at the hands of Alexandre Cerdà Belda. At the age of 19, he began his elementary trombone studies at the Ontinyent Professional Conservatory with Francisco Nájera Perona, with whom he obtained the end-of-degree award. From there he moved to the Manuel Massotti Littel Conservatory of Music in Murcia. He combines all these studies with work as a furniture assembler in the company "CURVASA MUEBLES", it is in Murcia where he graduated as a superior trombone teacher from Mario Calvo Ponce and went on to dedicate himself professionally to music.
His learning process has been continuous for more than thirty years, having taken conducting courses with Franco Cesarini, Ferrer Ferran, José R. Pacual Vilaplana and instrumentation with Ramon Garcia i Soler and Oscar Navarro. He has participated in arrangement courses at Berklee – Valencia. He has been part of countless training courses with Enrique Ferrando, J. Bautista Abad, Mario Calvo, Ricardo Casero, Carlos Gil.

In the field of teaching, he has worked as a Salesian Juan XXIII de Alcoy secondary school teacher, trombone teacher at Aielo de Malferit, Albaida, Alfarrasí, Bélgida, Bocairent, Montaverner, Cocentaina and has been director of the Municipal School of Albaida from 2002 to 2011.
In the world of composition, there are more than fifty works that make up its catalogue, being performed both in concerts and parades in the Moors and Christians festivities: Tabal y Saragüells, Teresa Silvestre, Cerdà Francés, Bandolera, Adrià and a great etc He has composed a concerto for solo trombone and orchestra, premiered by the Orquesta Joven de Sodre in Uruguay, as well as chamber pieces, a group of dulzainas for which he has received numerous awards. He has been in charge of composing the obligatory work in the XXIX Elda Moors and Christians Music Contest in 2014 with the Mora March “MORO DE PLATA”.

He has been invited to conduct his works for numerous bands as well as to take part in competitions and composition contests. As a director, he has recorded a dozen compact dams: A year of Bandera-(2009), Del Morero al Frangí -(2010), CD 1 “LOS BUERTOS: MUCH HISTORY, MUCH MUSIC” -(2011), Filà Cids -(2012 ), “Leyenda” by Fco. Valor Llorens -(2014), BENJAMA AT PARTIES -(2018).
He has been principal conductor of the Unión Musical de Atzeneta (2004-2008), Banda Instructiva Musical de Alfarrasí (2005-2008), of the dulzainas and percussion group "La Aleación de Ontinyent" (2004-2008), in which they obtained the 1st prize in the Altea contest (2006) and 2nd prize in the Manises contest (2007), in the group of dulzaineros and percussion from Muro "La Xafigà", of the Unión Musical Contestana de Cocentaina (2008-2015). , with which he won the First Prize in the "X CERTAMEN DE MÚSICA FESTERA DE ALTEA LA VELLA" 2013 and the prize for the best parade in the LXVIII National Music Band Contest "Ciudad de Cullera" 2015 and the Musical Society la Alianza de Mutxamel (2016-2020) He is a trombone teacher as well as Head of Studies at the Municipal Professional Music Conservatory of Albaida. He is the principal conductor of the La Paz de Beneixama Musical Society.
