Marcha Cristiana for band and dulzainas by the maestro Jos\u00e9 Rafael Pascual-Vilaplana, premiered under the title 'Llac d'Espurnes' and dedicated to Ricardo Mont\u00e9s Oviedo, first \"tr\u00f2\" of the comparsa Cruzados de Ontinyent, commissioned by his father Ricardo Mont\u00e9s Ferrero.<\/p>\n
Due to the peculiarity of the work, it has been decided to publish them together, as one, since they are part of the same story.<\/p>\n
These two works written between the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011 were commissioned by two good friends from Ontinyent. This city, its Moors and Christians festival, its music and its inhabitants are part of my particular landscape, the one that is appreciated and the one of which one feels proud.<\/p>\n
From a beautiful text \"The Legend of the Captive Spears\" written by an anonymous very well known to me, I try to reflect with my humble notes, the magic, the sweetness and the reflection of a story that has as background the essence of the Moors and Christians: a party that does not recall a war, but claims a peaceful way of understanding life.<\/p>\n
Both scores are connected by the same melodic line. A melody that sometimes is sweet and dancing and others becomes warlike and festive. Perhaps it is the image of the soul of those of us who feel festive and who let ourselves get wet by the catharsis of the party, of those daring ones who feel very proud to have been born where we were born and who like to share it with those we love.<\/p>\n
Moors and Christians end up being sailors of the same ship: the ship of love that undertakes its particular voyage through the warm sea of harmony, through the generous waters of the Fiesta and through the immense ocean of tenderness.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
